Dr. Barbara Schupp
Dr. Barbara  Schupp is an energetic Pediatric Dentist who loves working with children and educating families to achieve oral health.  Dr. Barb, as she prefers to be called, practices at Lawrence Pediatric Dentistry and performs dental surgery on an out-patient basis at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Schupp is originally from west-central Minnesota.  She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota and worked as a dental hygienist for 28 years. In 2001, she and her family moved to Prairie Village, Kansas.   She received her D.D.S. degree from the University of Missouri, Kansas City, and practiced general dentistry for three years.  Dr. Schupp then completed a 2-year Pediatric Dental Residency at Children’s Hospital Colorado in 2014. Dr. Barb has been a part of the Lawrence Pediatric Dental team for the past 1.5 years.

Dr. Barb is a member of the Kansas Dental Association, American Dental Association and is a board certified Pediatric Dentist with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Schupp currently resides in Prairie Village with her husband, Mike, and has 7 grown children. Dr. Barb’s hobbies include running, biking, kayaking, traveling, sewing, reading and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Elizabeth Hechler

Dr. Elizabeth Hechler (aka Dr. Liz or Dr. Lizard) is a pediatric dentist who joined our team in 2019. She truly believes that pediatric dentistry is her calling and she loves getting to know the families and children she works with.

Dr. Liz grew up in Boonville, Missouri. She attended Truman State University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Health Science. She then pursued her dental degree at the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Dentistry. Following dental school, Dr. Liz completed her 2-year Pediatric Dental Residency at the University of Iowa. She is thrilled to be back in the Kansas City area!

Dr. Liz is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), the American Association of Women Dentists (AAWD), and the Kansas Dental Association (KDA.)

Dr. Liz resides in Olathe with her husband and their dogs Dave and Nike. She enjoys running, traveling, reading, and spending time with her family.

Cindy
Cindy graduated from Salina Area Technical College’s dental assisting program in 1986. She received her Supragingival Scaling Certificate from Flint Hills Technical College in 2007. She has been a pediatric dental assistant for 26 years. Cindy and her husband have two children and three dogs. She enjoys arts and crafts, watching KU basketball, boating and spending time with her family.

Ashley
Ashley
Ashley lives in Lawrence with her husband and two children. She enjoys watching KU basketball and spending time with her kids. She has been in the dental field for seven years. She very much enjoys working with the kids.

Sherry
Sherry started her dental career in 1998. She received her subgingival scaling certificate in 2007. She has always enjoyed working with her patients. In her free time, she enjoys walks, baking, anything outdoors and spending time with her family.

Julie
Julie is married with three children and has been in the medical field since 1998. She enjoys spending time with her family and kids along with watching KU basketball. She loves seeing the little kids and hearing the stories they have to tell.

Erica
Erica has three children and has been a dental assistant since 2007. She enjoys camping and being outdoors. She loves working with the younger kids. She especially enjoys teaching the little ones the benefits of good oral hygiene.
